Adidas with simple but powerful symbol

  Adidas is a famous sports brand all over the world. This company success is not only because of its good price and quality, but more importantly for its attractive and classic symbol--three lines. People can find this symbol in many places. We can easily find this symbol on a basketball court. Guys like wearing Adidas' shoes, its t-shirts, and shorts. When I was a senior high school student in China, I could easily notice that many my schoolmates wearing Adidas’ clothes, shoes and school bags. Even one of my classmates selects all Adidas’ products. The three lines are really popular there. Moreover, the three lines can easily fits on clothes and shoes making a harmony outlook. Its simple brand is impressing that people from different culture likes it. For example, in China Adidas is one of the most expensive sports brand, but students would like to pay 1000 more RMB buy a pairs of Adidas shoes but not other brands’ 300 RMB lower shoes. The symbol has been regarded as a glorious sign in China. By contrast, in America, Adidas has much lower prices but more various styles. By using different strategies in different culture, Adidas made a great success so far. And the classic three lines’ sign is always attracting people’s eyesight.

  3. I have same experience in high school. Students were crazy for adidas and Nike shoes at that time. They felt confident when they were wearing shoes with three line symbol. I agree with you that it's the culture difference between China and United State.
